Blunk Street on NBC’s The Sing Off

A Capella music is sweeping the nation, and NBC’s prime-time competition show, The Sing Off has led the way. So, we were thrilled when the producers decided to use a piece of Blunk Street Music in the season finale.

The A Capella track by Kristin von Bernthal is heard in the second half of the show to top a segment when one of the competing teams engages in volunteer work. It’s one of several a cappella tracks available in the Blunk Street library from our network of composers.

Blunk Street composers Zach Shipps and Kristin von Bernthal recently created music for the rock-opera “Milkquarious”, the newest addition to the successful “White Gold” TV and web campaign for the California Milk Board. The campaign, now two years running, features songs and film score written, performed, produced by Shipps in partnership with Electric Six band-mate, Tyler Spencer, while von Bernthal lends a wink of vocal stylings and arrangements to the visually stunning movie rock opera. Detroit, Michigan, November 3, 2009 – North Star Media, a next-generation music placement company, and Blunk Street Music, Detroit’s 360 commercial music company, announced today an exclusive representation agreement with Detroit rock artist, Brandon Calhoon.
