DETROIT, MICHIGAN, November 6, 2010 – Once again, Blunk Street Music, the new-era music house from Detroit, is teaming up with Los Angeles music powerhouse, Smash Haus Music Group, to provide custom music for NBC’s hit show “The Sing off.”

Season Two of “The Sing Off” kicks off on December 6th with judges Ben Folds of “Ben Folds Five,” Shawn Stockman of “Boys II Men,” and Nicole Scherzinger of the “Pussy Cats Dolls” fame. Highlighting America’s finest A Cappella group talent, “The Sing Off” production will feature original compositions from Smash Haus, which will include tracks from Blunk Street Music composers, Kristin von Bernthal and Tracy Kash Thomas.

Jeff Hupp, co-owner of Blunk Street, said that they are thrilled to be a part of this season’s production. “Kristin and Tracy are two of our very talented composers who also happen to be two very talented singers. Their A Cappella compositions have rich vocal harmonies and include vocal percussive elements that you’d swear were instruments,” said Hupp.

Chris Plum, Blunk Street Music’s other co-owner, said they’re proud that the songs that will be placed in the production of the show don’t include studio fixes. “We should mention that like the performances on show, the deeply layered original production compositions contain no “Auto Tuning” – meaning, Kristin’s and Tracy’s tracks are sung as is – no studio trickery was added,” said Plum.
